The General Assembly's time should be put to better use
Once again, RIFuture is bashing local Republicans. This time, it is for submitting a resolution which would make February 6th "Ronald Reagan Day" in Rhode Island. I hate to say it, but RIFuture is correct about this one.
If you follow the General Assembly, you'll see that most of the work they do is unnecessary. We have the Ronald Reagan resolution, a resolution to use the word "Christmas" rather than "holiday", changing Halloween to the last Saturday in October, and various other bills and resolutions that are useless. Typically, the early part of the session seems to be dominated by this sort of nonsense, while the important business is crammed into late-night sessions at the end of June. Can't they make better use of their time?
If you are a General Assembly member, please stop the pointless resolutions, and worthless bills. Use your time to accomplish important goals, not meaningless statements. If not, your presence in the General Assembly is as useless as the legislation you propose.
