Dick Cheney Supports Same-Sex Marriage
Dick Cheney spoke at the National Press Club and discussed same-sex marriage. Here is an excerpt from his speech:
"I think, you know, freedom means freedom for everyone," Cheney said in a speech at the National Press Club. "I think people ought to be free to enter into any kind of union they wish, any kind of arrangement they wish."
Cheney added that he believes it is an issue that should be decided at the state, rather than the federal level. It's encouraging to see a conservative Republican take this view on same-sex marriage. It shows that it is becoming more widely accepted and should mean the idea of "freedom for everyone" is closer to becoming a reality
