The 2010 Gubernatorial Race Might Get More Crowded

The 2010 Gubernatorial race seems like it will be one for the ages.  So far, the Democratic side will likely include Patrick Lynch, Frank Caprio, and Elizabeth Roberts.  On the Republican side, only Joe Trillo has shown interest.   There will even be a viable independent candidate: Lincoln Chafee.  Well, it looks like that number may increase.

Some are speculating that Bob Weygand may decide to run, possibly as an independent.  In addition to Weygand, Attorney General Arlene Violet is considering a run as either a Republican or a member of the Moderate Party.  If you enjoy politics, the idea of having 5 viable candidates in November (Republican, Democrat, Moderate, and 2 independents) is intriguing.
