State Representative Raymond Sullivan, the deputy majority leader, has been arrested and charged with drunk driving. Besides being the deputy majority leader and the Rhode Island campaign manager for Barack Obama, Raymond Sullivan also sits on the Joint Committee on Highway Safety! Yes, you read correctly. This should be an interesting case to follow.

It's early in the legal process, and he still has to go to trial. With that said, I think this case will be watched closely for even the slightest hint of preferential treatment.
