Somalian Pirates are Looking for Revenge

Somali pirates fired mortars at a plane carrying Representative Donald Payne  as he was concluding a one day trip.  Fortunately, no one was injured.  The mortars were fired by al Shabaab, a militant extremist group, which was retaliating for for the deaths of the three pirates shot by the United States during the rescue of Captain Richard Phillips.  Obviously, they're not happy:

Helicopters once again flew over pirate bases near Eyl on the Somali coast overnight after Phillips' rescue.

"They killed our friends on the lifeboat and we thought helicopters would bomb us in Eyl last night," a pirate in Eyl, who called himself Farah, told Reuters.

"We were mourning for dead friends and then roaring planes came -- grief upon grief. America has become our new enemy."

Now we're enemies.  They have hijacked dozens of ships, have over 200 hostages, and were holding an American citizen at gun point for five days.  How can they not see anything wrong with that?  I would like to see a coordinated international effort to free the hostages and wipe out the pirate's bases.  I doubt this will happen, since the only other country who has been aggressive is France.  At some point, we must confront the pirate situation.  When we do, I have a feeling we will be alone.
