RiteCare: You Get What You Pay For
I was listening to the radio on the way home from work and heard an ad for a web site called http://www.rxaccessdenied.org/ . Well, I was intrigued, so I decided to check it out. Essentially, it is a group of individuals concerned about recent changes to RiteCare. They are angry that in most cases, they will be forced to use generic medication. Those who receive RiteCare should look on the bright side: They're getting their prescriptions and health care for free, or at greatly reduced rates. I pay almost $160 every two weeks for an individual plan, and my prescriptions cost either $7, $30, or $50. I'm pretty sure those receiving RiteCare never have to pay $50 for a prescription.
I would just like to remind those receiving RiteCare that they have options. If they are unhappy with their level of coverage or lack of choice, they can always buy insurance from Blue Cross or United Health. I have Blue Cross and I'm satisfied with my level of coverage. Of course, they'll have to pay a fair market rate for the improved coverage. It seems fair to me.
