Don Carcieri to Have a Conference Call With Joe Biden

Don Carcieri is scheduled to have a conference call with Vice President Joe Biden tomorrow to discuss details of the federal stimulus.  President Obama designated Joe Biden to oversee the stimulus, which is why the Vice President will be having the conference call.  When I found out about the call, I wondered if some of the proposed wasteful spending would be brought up by the Governor, such as the skate park in Pawtucket (of course, his budget won't be mentioned).  Although, I doubt this will happen.

The conference call is set to begin at 12:30pm and end at 1pm.  If you think a half hour is insufficient, I agree.  You might also think the allotted time is insufficient when you realize that the call will also involve the governors of four other states: Missouri, Maine, Georgia, and Illinois.  So each governor will receive an average of 6 minutes to address the stimulus, but we must also figure in Joe Biden's long-winded nature.  Each governor may wind up with mere seconds to speak!
