David Cicilline Wastes More Money
I was just watching the channel 12 news at 6pm and heard about Providence's attempt to "brand" itself. So far, the plan involves a new slogan and a logo. Providence is now known as the "Creative Capital", and the logo is...the letter "P". Wow, that must have been tough to come up with. After reflecting on the stupidity of this endeavor, I focused on the price: S100,000.
Yesterday, David Cicilline and several other mayors complained about budget cuts facing their cities and towns. The economy has been slowing for quite some time, and the recession is over a year old. With that said, why spend $100,000 on a campaign that is little more than window dressing, and appears to lack any substantive changes? Just one more example of wasteful spending.
