Hugo Chavez doesn't seem to like the United States much.  In a recent speech, he referred to the U.S. as "...a murderous, genocidal empire...", but despite his negative views of America, he still wants to help us.  In a message to Barack Obama, he said, "come with us, align yourself, come with us on the road to socialism.  This is the only path.  Imagine a socialist revolution in the United States."

     Could you imagine him trying to pitch Socialism to John McCain, George Bush, or Ronald Reagan?  It just wouldn't happen.  Let's forget that they are all Republicans.  I don't think most Democrats would be receptive.  Yet, from Barack Obama's words and actions, Hugo Chavez must think our new President is edging the United States in the direction of socialism.  For those of you who doubt Obama's goals, just remember: Hugo Chavez seems to think he has potential.
