Representative Joseph Trillo is considering a run for governor in 2010, and he has formed an exploratory committee.  So far, the only other GOP candidate is former Cranston Mayor Stephen Laffey.  I'm glad to see  him starting early.  So far, the potential Democratic candidates have a huge financial advantage: Frank Caprio currently has $866,000, David Cicilline has $601,000, and Patrick Lynch has $316,000.  Although, a divisive primary can eat into those campaign accounts rather quickly.
