Al Franken Defeats Norm Coleman for Minnesota Senate Seat

Minnesota's canvassing board has declared Al Franken the winner over Norm Coleman by just 225 votes.  Coleman's campaign will challenge the results based on some ballots that were allegedly counted twice, and others which weren't counted at all.  Further complicating matters, Senator John Cornyn does not believe Franken has a right to the seat due to lingering questions about the recount and plans to block any attempt by Democrats to seat him.

I'm hoping Norm Coleman is successful with his legal challenge, but it really doesn't look good.  Even if ballots that were allegedly counted twice were allowed to be recounted and uncounted ballots were allowed, Franken will still be going in with a lead of 225 votes.  Unfortunately, it looks like Al Franken will officially be a U.S. Senator in the near future.  Let the comedy of errors begin.
