Deborah Fellela: A Victim of Police Harassment?

Johnston voters living in Deborah Fellela's district need to take a hard look at themselves.  After some of her family members were involved in an altercation on the night of her primary victory, her son was arrested yesterday after driving 90 mph on Hartford Ave, then failing a field sobriety test.  Later in the day, her husband was arrested for driving with a suspended license, then Mrs. Fellela was not allowed to drive his vehicle home because it wasn't registered!  It gets better: Mrs. Fellela claims they are victims of police harassment by officers with political ties to an opponent.

I don't know Deborah Fellela, but from what I've read  about this incident and the incident on the night of the primary, I'm not impressed with handling of either situation.  There was fighting, speeding, a suspended license, and an unregistered vehicle.  If the Fellelas had acted appropriately, none of this would have happened.  This excerpt was especially odd:

“Here we go again,” Deborah Fellela said, adding that she has commissioned a “third party” to investigate the alleged harassment, and that her son, Matthew, was not too impaired to drive early Thursday morning.

She commissioned a third party?   Who is this third party?  While she's busy rounding up a team of invesigators, maybe she can take a few minutes of her time to register her vehicle and buy her husband a bus pass.  If you are a Johnston resident who voted for Deborah Fellela, I would encourage you to strongly consider one of her opponents in 2010.
