If you haven't had a chance to read Bob Kerr's column in today's Providence Journal, you should check it out.  Kerr wrote about Providence Mayor David Cicilline's recent trip to Saudi Arabia.  The article correctly pointed out that Saudi Arabia doesn't have much to do with Providence.  I'm just glad the trip was funded by the U.S. Conference of Mayors, and not Providence taxpayers.  There is enough waste in government without expecting us to pay for the Mayor's vacation.
