Sarah Palin Cleared in "Troopergate"

Alaska's state pesonnel board has found that Governor Sarah Plain did not violate state ethics laws when she fired Commissioner Walt Monegan.  The Board wrote:

"There is no probable cause to believe that the governor, or any other state official, violated the Alaska Executive Ethics Act in connection with these matters"

This finding is at odds with an earlier finding by the Legislative Council, whicf found that Palin abused her power.  The allegations stem from Sarah Palin allegedly pressuring Monegan to fire Trooper Mike Wooten, who had been married to Palin's sister.
