Barack Obama was talking about his socialist plan for the United States when he had this quote:


"John McCain and Sarah Palin they call this socialistic," Obama continued. "You know I don’t know when, when they decided they wanted to make a virtue out of selfishness." 


     So, according to Barack Obama, if you work hard to be successful and you believe others should work hard without the help of your tax dollars, you are selfish.  If you would rather spend the money you earn on your family rather than someone elses, you are selfish.  If you think you should decide where your money goes, you are selfish.  It seems the only way to not be selfish is to let Barack Obama take as much of your salary as he wants and redistribute your wealth to those he feels are worthy.  After all, doesn't he know what's good for us and the country?

     There is one thing that I don't understand about Barack Obama's view.  If we're selfish for not wanting to help strangers, then isn't he selfish for not wanting to help his own relatives?  Actually, since it's family, you could say he's even worse.  His aunt is living in a public housing project and his brother is living in a 6 foot by 9 foot hut in Kenya and earns only $1 per month.  Since Barack Obama makes millions of dollars per year, why doesn't he help his relatives?  I think that seems rather selfish.
