Governor Carcieri to Brief Media on the Progress of Intermodal Facility

When I saw this press release, it almost seemed like a blast from the past.  Remember the Intermodal Facility that will be built near T.F. Green Airport?  Well, Governor Carcieri is planning a briefing tomorrow on the status of the project.  Besides having a train platform, parking garage, space for car rental agencies, and a hub for buses, it will also feature a 1,200 foot skybridge linking it to the airport.  The project will employ up to 300 people at its peak.

It's good to see some progress.  If I remember correctly, this project was originally proposed when Lincoln Almond was Governor.  Hopefuly, there won't be any more delays.
