Barack Obama received yet another endorsement from a Republican.  This time, it is former Massachusetts governor William Weld.  I was surprised to hear about the endorsement, but the strangest part of the story is why William Weld is endorsing Barack Obama.  Weld says Obama has a "deep sense of calm" "deep intelligence", and a "first-class political temperament".  There was no mention of his proposed policies, his votes on recent legislation, or other political views.  It's too bad Mr. Weld's reasoning isn't as deep as Barack Obama's "sense of calm".
