Sarah Palin is being criticized for saying that Barack Obama pals around with terrorists.  When she says this, she is likely referring to William Ayers, who is the former leader of the Weather Underground, a group of domestic terrorists who were active during the Vietnam War.  Supporters like to point out that Barack Obama was only 8 years old when the group was at its most active.  I think they're missing the point.   No one is accusing Barack Obama of committing terrorist acts, rather, they are accusing Barack Obama of being overly tolerant of anti-American sentiment. 

     I don't think Barack Obama and William Ayers are buddies, but it is common knowledge that they did serve on boards together, and William Ayers hosted a political fundraiser for him while he was a State Senator.  Normally, wouldn't you think that one would only hold a fundraiser for someone they agreed with on issues?  Do some further reseach on Bill Ayers and think about that.  Add this association to Obama's relationship to Jeremiah Wright, then throw in his wife's comments about being proud to be an American for the first time in her life, and you start to see a pattern.
