More than 1,100 individuals suspected of being illegal immigrants were arrested in ICE raids in California.  The sweeps occurred in Los Angeles, San Diego, and San Franciso and targetd individuals who ignored deportation orders or who reentered the United States illegally after being deported in the past.

     I think this sweep of illegal aliens is going to get a lot of press, and there are going to be a lot of bleeding hearts who think we should take pity on them and throw out the welcome mat.  I don't agree with illegal immigration.  I believe immigrants need to follow the rules and come here legally.  When they don't, they should be deported.  I find this case particularly disturbing since it involves individuals who broke immigration laws multiple times.  These are people who were deported and came back, or people who were asked to leave and never did.  They have shown no respect for our country or our laws, and they need to go back to their home countries.  To the ICE teams that worked on the operation: Well done!
