Finally, we have some good news.  Deepwater Wind, the company who will be constructing a wind farm off the Rhode Island coast, will be opening a facility at Quonset Point, it will employ 800 people, and the project will produce around 350 megawatts of electricity.  In addition, the wind farm will be between 15 and 20 miles off the coast in Rhode Island waters, so we shouldn't have anyone complaining about the view.  Hopefully, there will be more projects of this magnitude in the future, and we will also have some that will increase our supply of renewable energy.
