Is The Obama Campaign Running Out of Steam?

According to projo.com, Rhode Island College has released the results of a new poll showing that Barack Obama's commanding lead isn't quite as commanding as it once was.  Barack Obama currently leads John McCain 45% to 31%.  The 14% lead is down from the 28% lead Obama had in RIC's June Poll.

With 3 presidential debates scheduled, John McCain has the ability to take a decisive lead on Obama.  Since most people don't follow politics daily, these debates will be the main exposure to the candidates for many Americans.  In Rhode Island, I wouldn't be surprised if Obama's 14 point lead shrunk further.  If you think about it, a 14 point lead really isn't very good considering that Rhode Island is one of the bluest of the blue states.  If his support is dwindling here, what's going to happen in swing states?
